« Back to Glossary Index

A double-blind study refers to a clinical trial design in which the medical staff, the patient, and the people who analyze the results do not know the specific type of treatment the patient has received until after the clinical trial is over. This type of design is used to prevent bias and requires a study to have at least two arms.
