« Back to Glossary IndexOrganoids are tiny, self-organized, three-dimensional tissue cultures that are derived from cultured cells or tissue samples. These in vitro cultures can be crafted to replicate much of the complexity of an organ. Alternatively, an organoid may be designed to express selected aspects of a specific organ.
